All the crate diggers out there should take not of how the real record ballers do it.  Avid HiFi, no to be confused with Avid Technologies and parent company of Digidesign, has released the upgraded Acutus turntable along with a upgraded price tag of $24,000.  The unit comes complete with a monster power supply, 22 lb. platter, bonded polymer mat, and inverted bearing made from a sapphire jewel cup containing a tungsten carbide ball.
