DJ Machine Joystick Inspired Music Controller

Music should always be fun. Then again, it’s hard not to be fun when you’re making music using a joystick controller.  Industrial Designer Christian Peetz has designed the DJ Machine, which he refers to as the Finger Orchestra, as his entry for the James Dyson Award.

While each joystick controller is programmable, the unit also has the ability to communicate via Bluetooth.

Line 6 POD Studio USB Interfaces + Plugins

Line 6 has announced their new series of USB recording interfaces, POD Studio GX, UX1, and UX2.  Also announced were the two recording plugins the POD Farm and POD Farm Platiinum.  A nice thing to note is that while the interfaces range in price from the the entry level GX at $140 to the upscale UX2 at $280, each comes with the POD Farm plugin and option of upgrading to the Platinum version.  Not at bad way to get started recording on a budget.

Vestax has announced the release of their VCI-300 DJ performance system with the ability to control over 90 parameters and functions.  True to their turntablist roots, the unit features a customizable fader curve control for smooth, fast, and responsive mixing and scratching. 

The VCI-300 also features two high resolution platters to provide adjustable resistance for a realistic vinyl feel. The VCI-300 also includes a built-in audio interface with a Mic input, stereo input, and 2 stereo outputs (Master L/R and Monitor L/R).
