  1. Dope. I bet it was a great feeling to have Pete Rock pick your beat for his project. Seeing that most of us know Grap for being a dope emcee, but had no idea he made beats.

  2. Yeah, this was a dope little session! Grap is the man & I feel he gets slept on. If you check around though, you can find Grap rapping & productions he’s made too! The Half Man, Half Amazing track is super dope, one of my favorites on that Soul Survivor album & we can owe all that to Grap! You put your foot in that one bruh! Nice joint, Grap Luva, the younga soul brother!

  3. Very very dope! ..SP sounds so lovely full, heavy, raw & warm compared to computer/16 bit beats …..his old beats need to be released ..they sound way better than any of these thin tiny beats these days.

Big respect to Grap Luva …man needs to get his props!

  4. Gotta love that good ol’ Boom Bap…Its cool to see guys thats been in the game sooooooooo long still have love for the origins of Hip Hop…and not get on the 808 synth pop band wagon.

  5. Thanksso much for the love shown by folks who know good music when you hear it!! LOL!! Real talk though, I am humbled by your comments!!! I have beeen sleeping on myself folks!! Thanks again!!!!

  6. Great video. Grap been one of my favorites for a while. Really looking forward to that new EP! Listen to INI – Center of Attention if you haven’t already. Classic.

    • Yes, definite classic! Speaking of INI, where is the brother? That whole vid with Grap & Damu reminds you of INI’s whole album beat wise!

  7. Grap is Pete brother but it doesn’t shape his career. He is his own man. Glad to see Damu and Grap connect. I remember seeing them at this produce battle in DC called Beat Grinder and the chemistry was always good. Beat Grinder was DC’s first ever produce battle before Red Bull Big Tune and all the corny competitions in DC. Grap and Damu represent the silent foundation established in DC since 1999. Love!

  8. What’s the title of the song of the beat from 1:33 to 2:06? I don’t recall hearing that beat before.

  9. Dope shit! I know these newer/uneducated cats is making beats off downloads and not diggin for wax but rather dig for hard drives etc but let the real kings live. The SP 1200 is one of a kind and the sound it produces is so distinct. Being 30 yrs old isn’t old school to me but this era of beats is the greatest.
I honestly think there is still a lane for that shit.

If you still checkin this homie… GRAP LUVA!!!! PUT THESE BEATS OUT!!

  10. Grap ur one of the best, ur now my fav beat maker !!! Grap pls release some instrumental albums pls, throw it on iTunes like Ayatollah , Exile etc.., I buy it !
