DJ Mouse Creates Instant “Professional” DJ’s

djmouse

It truly doesn’t get much crazier than an all-in-one mouse/DJ solution.  With the trailer promising that anyone can “be a professional DJ in one minute without the science of mixing music”, DJ’ing in a box has been taken to the ultimate level.

I’m sure that I’m not the only one having difficulty taking the DJ Mouse seriously, but I’ve got to give the company, DJ-Tech, an a nod for including a mousepad designed to resemble a turnable.  Unfortunately, the glowing instant scratch button just takes the concept way too far.

DJ Mouse Includes:

  • DJ Scratch Mat (optimized for scratch performance)
  • DJ Mouse
  • Deckadance software

Hit up DJ-Tech for complete details and ordering.

  1. I’ve been DJing for almost 20 years and homey, this is garbage. Too many producers, too many dj’s, too many people that suck. This is why its hard to get a break in the industry because for every talented dj, theres 50 more who have this product pretending to be something they never were. I’m waiting for someone to say that using dj hero as they setup for a party.

    NO SHIT!!!
    (to everything else to)

I don’t know about other towns, but right now in this area, every other emo/rocker/electro clown is calling themselves a DJ cause the play their record collection of 80’s new wave or whatever at some dive bar………….nothing wrong with that in theory I guess, but they don’t even attempt to mix the songs or nothing, it’s like their just hanging out playing their favorite songs and getting drunk – at least 15 have popped up in the last year, with weekly nights no less……pathetic

the title “DJ” is is now a punchline

  5. I won`t totally say fuck digital, but I do think you need to know the real.Learn how to dj the right way. Learn how to mix and blend and scratch vinyl. Record dig just for fun. Learn about BPM`s the manual way. In a nutshell, build a appreciation for the art.Respect the art,and I guarantee you will have a different outlook on the digital situaiton.

  6. Holy shit, the trailer is the worst thing I have ever seen, and the product doesn’t look much better…

  7. I want a turntable but I can say that I have been digital and have a number of mp3’s that are pretty fucking rare finds, either way I want vinyl so I can borrow wax from the older folks I grew up with and flip it.

Does anyone know if a standard usb/vinyl turntable is midi capable, I want to be able to scratch a vinyl converted mp3 tracks on torq or something but still use it as a regular turntable to play wax and shit.

This product is a disgraceful mockery, DJ Mouse it’s worse than BeatThangz (the name and advertisement makes it seem like hip hop heads are some illiterate wasteheads) But despite all that I will buy it if it provides a logistical way to mix the mp3 side of things, god damn I really just want that jog wheel or a hands on way of sampling mp3’s.

Heavy argument, on the one hand mp3 is free and is abundant and music is music, I have no disdain if I hear James Brown over cd, mp3, radio, or vinyl, Vinyl is still around for its warm quality better highs and lows, but I think a lot of people obsess over it because they spend an arm and a leg with time and money over it. I grew up broke and I gotta computer and fuck man I want to hear music anyway I can, Vinyl was the first and is still around mother fuckers sound like digital is the analog’s global warming.
