Maestro visits with 9th Wonder as he explains his philosophy behind making beats, feeling the music, and sample chopping.  9th also briefly touches on Fruity Loops vs the MPC 2500 and what he feels are the most important ideas involved in being a producer/music maker.
Everybody has different technical ways that they make a beat, but for me it’s the feeling. Â If I don’t feel it, then it’s not right to me.
Everybody knows that I used to make beats on Fruity Loops, sometimes I still do. Â It’s all the same premise, taking a sample and then turning it into something that’s yours.
