Every couple of months I get an IM from a close friend telling me the latest issue of Wax Poetics magazine has been released.  Almost immediately, phone calls are ended, IM’s exited, and priorities rearranged around the single goal of getting my latest Wax Po fix and subsequent mood boost.

For those who don’t yet know, Wax Poetics Magazine has a reputation for not only being a fine read, but is perhaps the only consistent publication making an authentic connection between Hip-Hop, Jazz, and Soul while putting each into appropriate historical context.
