Vinyl Lover’s Quarrel (A Short Film)

June 16, 2010

You’re not a true crate digger until you’ve had an argument/conversation like this.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a conversation like this with a person, but I quote song titles and lyrics to people all the time in everyday conversation. And I make mixes for people telling stories like this.

Does that count?

i use quotes from songs in casual conversations some my own some not, (hip-hop ain’t it)
Anyway, I used this from emotional weather report by tom waits
how are you (Them)
ooh I’m just contemplating on my ability to deal rationally with my disconcerted precarious emotional situation..(Tom)… All the while maintaining my cool pragmatic disposition… how are you? (Me) = a dumbfound look (them) and a slightly inflated “smart ass” ego (Me)….. the day i find a woman who knows this is the day I am in serious trouble with my gf.
go free yourself challenge the strains or strings of social consistency…. How are you?

Yo. That was a dope short film. Don’t know who made it but thats was very well done. I’ve seen big budget hollywood films that could not even get a story across as well as this did. Im a digger and I’ve for sure shared moments like this with people. Music is the universal language.

that was long and drawn out and extremely boring. Can you post some beat related material instead of two grunge rock college kids arguing via records?

Semantik June 17, 2010 at 3:00 pm

If you find something beat related, feel free to send it over.

Thank you for the invite, is there an email address I can send it to? I have personally recorded the entire redbull big tune battle and think it would be good content for the site
