Vintage Roger Linn Pre-MPC Prototype On Sale

I know that I’m not the only one who’s fascinated with vintage gear, so here’s your chance to own a piece of true Hip-Hop production history… sort of.  The original MIDI Studio 001 prototype created by Roger Linn is up for sale over at the Vintage Electric Musical Instrument Auction (VEMIA).  Careful inspection will reveal a number of features that would later be, and still are, signature characteristics of the Akai MPC.

There are no reserves at all during the event.  I repeat NO RESERVES!  This means that you could potentially walk away with a fine piece of unique vintage gear that even seasoned vets would drool over.  Other highly sought after items include: R.A. Moog CEMS modular, Electro-Harmonix Crying Tone, Fender Rhodes, and an ARP 2600!

Note:  The VEMIA website is a bit difficult to navigate… search for "Linn" and you’ll find what you’re looking for.   Auction ends April 12th, 2008
