  1. I’ll be interested to play with it, but based on the demo? Looks like any other DAW to me. A lot of people have been hailing this as a game-changer, but it looks like Pro Tools For Dummies with branded plug-ins and a couple refreshingly obvious shortcuts.

(A number of pre-existing programs already had F-key shortcuts for mixers, channel strips, etc. I know Cubase did.)

Integration with Reason is definitely dope, though. And this ad was un-intentionally hilarious, so that’s also a huge bonus.

  2. I agree with DJ Multiple.

I use rewire and basically its the same thing.

Yeah just like Multiple said, It is Pro tools for dummies.

I might get it just to mess around with it only $149 for reason owners not bad.

  3. This is basically what reason users have been wanting for for the longest the ability to record audio directly into reason. I’m looking forward to it because I have a setup for my reason songs that I feel is just perfect and I have found it impossible to imitate this sound in my other DAW(s). The unique thing I have found about reason, over other apps, is that it gets so close to that analog warmth the only missing component was direct audio, I think this will be a game changer because now you can get the sound you want in Reason, and then dump the stems into another program or just mix right in the reason box.

  4. I THOUGHT ABOUT IT MORE AND I’M ALSO WONDERING WHAT KIND OF VST OR RTAS PLUGINS YOU WILL GET AS A BONUS WITH RECORD ? SINCE ITS NOW GONNA BE CLASSIFIED AS A RECORDING PROGRAM . . AND THINGS SUCH AS ITS MIDI CONTROLLER CAPABILITY ( WILL IT WORK WITH MACKIE PRO DAW ” AXIOM PRO ” ECT ECT OR WHATEVER YOU USE ) CAN ALSO BE A FACTOR ON WHETHER THEY WILL BE ABLE TO SWAY PEOPLE WHO ARE PERFECTLY FINE WITH THE DAW THEY HAVE. IF YOU LIKE PRO TOOLS YOU STILL CAN USE REASON WITH IT VIA REWIRE . SEE WHAT IM SAYN ? I WASN’T BLOWN AWAY WITH THE EQ THEY MADE A BIG DEAL OUT OF EITHER . FRUITY LOOPS (WHICH I CAN’T STAND ) HAS BEEN DOING THIS ALREADY IN ITS OWN WAY.PLUS KNOWING REASON THE WAY I HAVE GROWN TO KNOW IT YOU ALREADY KNOW THERE’S GONNA BE A LEARNING CURVE SHARP AS AN ELBOW ROAD.I THINK WHAT PUT REASON AHEAD OF THE GAME WAS IT DIDN’T HAVE A RECORDING INTERFACE BUILT INTO IT .PEOPLE WAS LIKE THIS PROGRAM IS SO DOPE AND HAS SO MUCH YOU CAN DO THAT THERE WASN’T ANY ROOM FOR THAT ! THATS WAS THE ALLURE OF REASON TO ME.
I ASSUME YOU CAN STILL USE REDRUM AND ALL THE OTHER STUFF WITH IT.
SOMEONE SAID REASON SOUNDED WARM. THATS THE FIRST TIME I EVER HEARD THAT.IM USING 2 PREAMPS TO WARM UP THE DIGITAL SOUND OF REASON.AT LEAST WITH PRO TOOLS YOU CAN USE THAT VINYL PLUGIN AND MAKE IT SOUND DIRTY.NONE THE LESS WHEN IT COMES OUT IM GONNA TRY IT. IT ALL COMES DOWN TO HOW DOPE YOUR COMPLETED PROJECT WILL SOUND WHETHER EVERYONE WILL GO GET IT OR WHATEVER. I DIDN’T DO 100 MPH TO GET PRO TOOLS 8 WHEN IT CAME OUT EITHER. IM STILL USING 7 BECAUSE BY THE TIME THEY FIXED ALL THE BUGS AND I GOT MINE HALFWAY DEPENDABLE I WAS SCARED TO UPGRADE . LOL BUT IM STILL GONNA GET RECORD THOUGH.BUT BE CARFUL OF THE ALL IN ONE SOLUTIONS RECORD IS GONNA HAFTO BE DOPE TO COMPETE WITH THE FLEXIBLE WORKFLOW AND EASE OF USE PROTOOLS AND LOGIC HAS BUT WE’LL HAFTO WAIT AND SEE.IM INTERESTED TO HEAR YOU GUYS RESPONCE ON THIS..

  5. @Tony Traxx

You probably have some very interesting and valid points to make, but anything longer than one sentence in all caps and no punctuation is a nightmare for readers. I’m probably not the only one who won’t bother to read it based on that alone.

    • Lol… Dido. I got to about where you said “RTAS and VSTs”, and I quit from exhaustion. Like Tony said though, I get the sense that there is some valid stuff in that overgrown jungle of a post; I just don’t have the endurance for it.

  6. Word…^^

I suggest: Use word…then cut paste your sentences.

but he(Tonny) does make valid points at times.

  7. This program to me is better than Pro tool and Sonar put together.
tust me i did the same mix in all of them record gave me the best sound ever.
