Album skit master/producer/DJ Prince Paul talks about the old vs. new schools of hip-hop and the differences in motivation for creating music then gives  a nice rundown of the projects that he’s been involved with.

"The difference between the old and the new school for me is I think in the old school it was more based on trying to push the whole music genre, like wanting to create something new and trying to be different.  I think now it’s more focused on trying to make something that bumps in the clubs or a radio record… in other words, whatever makes money."

I REMEMBR PRINCE PAUL . HE WAS LIKE HE WAS LIKE WHAT KONYE IS TOO HIP HOP TODAY. WITHOUT ALL THE TIGHT JEANS ‘ LIPSTCK AND SHIT KONYE DOES.BUT ANYWAY 1989 . I LOVED THAT YEAR.I WAS FUCKN EVERYDAY AND SMOKING WEED. LOL NOW IM IN HERE WITH YOU LAMES
