Kid Koala On DJ’ing, Scratching, Strange Vinyl

January 21, 2009

A bit of an older video features Kid Koala as he tells of hearing scratching for the first time, stumbling through the process learning to DJ, and his personal philosophy about creativity.  He goes on to talk about his appetite for unusual vinyl and sounds as an explanation for his unique style.

AC/DC shirt nice!

His groove struck me, how we rode his scratches over the beat is beautiful thing.

Good that he shouts out Mr Mixx. The cuts on 2 Live’s first album was nuts!

I love Kid Koala man, he’s the best. Super humble and chill, yet totally off the hook
