J. Bizness vs. Dibia$e: Beat Battle Rematch

June 26, 2009

The only thing better than a beat battle is a rematch over a disputed beat battle.  Apparently there was some disagreement over the results of J. Bizness and Dibia$e’s first meeting at the Red Bull Big Tune Beat Battle.  Here the two producers face off in front of the crowd the Pure Festival.

^ true. I thought 7 rounds was unessacary. People need to come to a conclusion, cause they would of been there all night listening to beats. I think both of em are alright they both used mainly samples n all thheir beats. I would of liked to have seen different styles of music and more non sampled beats to see what else they got under their belt ecept hiphop.

Yeah…
The crowd was surprisingly lame.
If only y’all knew who was on the bill…
Planet Asia… Evidence… 2Mex… Large Professor… The Beatnuts (of all people)…
There should have been a lot more people.

These two need to make an album together and start taking over both coasts with their beats!

I swear to gawd Dibiase got the Lebron/Dilla look from the side. I can’t decide between the two.

This has to be the lamest handling of a beat battle I’ve ever seen. 7 rounds was way too much when it was obvious that J Biz was the man. No disrespect to Dibase cause he brought some heat, but for some reason he’ll start off with something really dope then change the entire beat. Even though the crowd was lame, it was very clear they were feeling J Biz alot more.

Good effort from both those cats. Hopefully next time its handled better.

When i think of beat battles i think of dunk contest. U dont see doods winnin contest with straight lay ups. So my reasonin for the sequence change up is utilizin the whole 1:30 to play a beat i get bore with loops, and besides its my signature move. Alot cats dont have a signature sound or formula, and get lost in the cycle cause everyone makes beats nowadays . Besides it helped me win 14 or 15 battles if it aint broke dont fix it. right??? But nonetheless the battle was fun. The battle im tryin to conquer now is puttin albums out which is in effect already.

I THOUGHT IT WAS A HIP HOP BEAT BATTLE THO. WHY WOULD I BRING ANOTHER GENRE OF MUSIC TO A BEAT BATTLE WHICH IS BASED AROUND HIP HOP???
