If you can get the M-Box 2. Its a nice Pro-Tools system. It's good to have because you can learn mixing down your individual tracks, hoping that you are recording them seperate in the MPC. Pro-Tools has a learning curve, but I think it's worth it. From there your beats to WAV files and create a beat CD.

i would record each track seperate(kick first, snare, hi-hat, etc) into one whole sequence. if that's what you mean. do u make one sequence for a beat or do u use multiple sequences(one for intro, chorus, verse, etc)??? i know you can use one sequence to make a beat, but most people say they use multiple sequences. will the tracks be broken down once it gets to protools like i recorded them individually on the mpc??? those youtube videos don't show anything. i want to see the actual process.

u can either arrange your sequences in the mpc and record while playing the mpc in song mode, or just record clips of each track in the song and arrange the song in pro tools or whatever software u decide to get for recording

Pretty much do whatever works best for your workflow. I personally create a bunch of different sequences, then play around with them to see what works best. Some people (like myself) find it easier to work with smaller chunks rather one big chunk.

i know some people may create a whole song with one sequence. i know some people use multiple sequences. i watch people like blackmilk or boon doc on youtube and they just only make one sequence. not sure what else they do.

If all you want is to burn your beats to CD, all you need to do is record them to any DAW with the ability to record audio and export the file as a .wav and burn that to disc. Obviously ProTools can do this, but that's if you want to separate all the tracks and do your final mixdown, but if you just want to play the beats just how you've got them in your MPC, you can use anything, even free software like audacity.

i don't want to just record the beats and that's it. i want to send them to protools so if someone wants a beat then they can easily transfer the beat to their protools setup if they want to edit anything, etc. i prefer to do it that way. i want protools b/c i know it would be in a more professional way than just record a beat and that's it. i appreciate the info and your expertise.
