First and foremost, DO NOT USE THE REASON DRUM SOUNDS!!! They completley suck and are WAY to compressed. If you want grimey drums, SAMPLE RECORDS!!! That's the best way you're gonna get those kinds of grimey drum hits.

About 9th wonder, I've always wondered about his sounds. His drums are particularly unique. I wonder where he got them? They seem to sound really similar in a lot of his tracks but they're extremely fat sounding. Also, his samples have a certain quality that is different from most producers. I think he's got some real uniqe EQ tactics, plus I read that he always runs his beats through certain types of hardware. Bottom line is, you're not gonna get your beats to sound like 9th wonder beats. His sound has been acheived through years of experimenting and makin tracks. I'm not sayin that he's the best hip hop beat maker (he's not), but I think his sound is truley unique and nobody's elses beats sound quite like his.

Here you are..
zSHARE - croup_drums.rar

Remember. Layer your drums! I cant stress it enough. Learn to layer. Get a couple really clean bassey kicks, and throw a kick on there with a lot of grittiness, and not a lot of low end presence.

But almost every beat ive made the past 6 months has been with those drums.

please keep em kinda on the down low.

1) LMAO...I think that you misunderstood my point "Positive". I never said that I wanna sound like 9th Wonder, in fact I don't like his drums sound. But I do respect his sampling techniques of course, I think he's a great producer.

2)I asked if there was a way for me to connect an MPC to Reason and do my drums using the MPC and mix everything on Reason, that's all. If it's possible than you can tell me how to do it, if it's not possible than I'll just continue on doing everything on Reason.........Plain and Simple.
