I hear that mixing in ipod headphones is a pretty good idea too... considering that so much music is heard through ipods nowadays. Just another way of looking at things.

Sony MDR-V300 $50. Nice low end and highs. Can get a really good feel on these but sometimes you need to compare with speakers/monitors to adjust certain levels. Overall I think it's worth and their silver, a step up from the black joints from back in the day.

lol People talk about mixing for small laptop/pc speakers as well, but I hate that idea. On my laptop speakers I can barely hear the bass at all. imo if you eq'd the bass so that it could be heard better on ur laptop speakers, it would take away from how it sounds on good speakers/headphones.

I got the sony mdr-7506's aswell. I like em. The reason I got em is cos theyre meant to be pretty flat.
