yamaha qy70 or da qy 100..... they been out for years now, but it's a good piece for cats on da go... like I do security, and sometimes I'm at a post where I can bring a dvd player or something like that... so I figured I would cop that, and work on shit while I'm at work then dump it into my cpu when I get to da crib.... my guy had his 70 since like 1995 and it's a highly capable tool.. it ain't that big at all, it's smaller than a cpu keyboard, but you can sequence and edit while you're on da go.(battery operated as well).bus, train ride, etc.... plenty of patterns(128), etc etc......highly sophisticated instrument from yamaha... check it out

a link for the qy 70

QY70

and for the 100

Nice call... I'm looking to minimize my setup also. Thinking about getting rid of my mpc and making the move back over to software.

Next purchase... Logic Studio 8?

Man I just recently finished getting all the stuff i wanted. I had a Korg Electribe cubase and a turntable with some good monitors. Then I upgraded and got a Roland Juno G (a beast of a workstation), a Les Paul Epiphone Bass Guitar (prefer doin my own basslines), an analogue mixer, and a new microphone Audio Technicha AT3032. Working at starbucks mainly. So my next piece of production gear is either the most new version of cubase and the UAD audio plug-ins or Waves whichever is better
