Greatest Of All Time is a very rough question to answer, as was mentioned: it's all about opinion.

I was just a little shocked that The Game was mentioned. It's a rather bold statement and doesn't deserve negative criticism (my bad), but it surely deserves some questioning. The main reason being that (I believe) this was the 1st time he has been mentioned in the thread.

Reach posted his top 5 and The Game really stood out to me. I haven't listened to his music....Thats my ignorance. But I also never knew or heard that he was of the GOAT status.

For the most part, most of the artists mentioned by people on this thread would not be considered "underground" artists. Most are shout outs to the people that helped contribute to as well as define the hip hop genre. My reaction was (out of ignorance I suppose) WTF because I was unaware that The Game was of this caliber.
What you saying is true. I think The Game deserve to be respected for the fact he is the only mainstream artist holding down the west coast right now(Snoop Quit, Ice Cube is more focused on acting but I'm still looking forward to his new album,Xzibit is just fully commercial and busy being the host of car shows, plus he's not even from LA, and you can't really hear much from rappers like Daz, Krupt these days. Dre's putting out a new album but I just don't really feel his rap), however I am wrong for saying hes one of the best of ALL TIME, but I think If you listen to him, not just songs like "how we do" or "Let's ride" but songs like"Why you hate the game","Church for thugs","like father, like son" and "Hate it or love it" and one of his new song"Game's Pain" you will like him too, trust me. I like Game's music and dats not gonna change.

He actually has another album before he was signed to aftermath, It's called "Untold Story", his flow was sounding really different from now.

1 Jay-Z
2 Common
3 Jeru The Damaja
4 GZA
5 Nas/2pac/Biggie/Brother Ali/Eminem (def great stop hating)/Kool G Rap/Guru/Rakim/Big Daddy Kane/AZ/Raekwon/Talib Kweli/KRS-One/C.L. Smooth/Del The Funky Homosapien/Chali 2na/Inspectah Deck/Ice Cube/Method Man/Ghostface Killah/Big Pun/Big L/Lupe Fiasco (not 1 of the GOATs though but hes def dope at the moment)

I like all kinds of MCs though but they gotta have original flow and have something to say, stories or something i can relate to.
If not im only listening to your producers beat probably.
Thats exactly why i put Jay-Z and Common at the top cause they music got personality and they got untouchable flow.

It's funny they just named Eminem best emcee ever but I didn't see anyone name him in this thread yet. Eminem to me is just alright. I can listen to him occasionally but his flow his voice and his style get really annoying to me after awhile. It's seems it's like that for me with all non black emcees usually. Like I'll kind of like them but their voices always get a little annoying after awhile.

Yeah, i see where you going but Eminem def sounds dope to me when hes in a certain mood.
I like songs like The Way I Am, Toy Soldiers, Cleaning out my closet to name a few.
But when Eminem is in a clown mood and starts doing funny videos to me its funny first but it gets more annoying than funny after a while.
