Default Orchestral samples?

Does anybody know any great songs by big orchestras that would be cool to sample? Or even some classical music? thats probably my favorite genre of music to sample. So help a kid out!

Your best bet is to hit up the record store... Classical records are notoriously cheap. Dealers practically give the away.

Default soundtracks

in my experience, the best orchestral sounds come from film scores, rather than classical music. symphonies can be too recognizable, and more often than not, they just don't sound good with a beat. film scores are as dramatic, momentous and emotional as any symphony, but their modern style allows them to make better samples than something written centuries ago.

and not many people sample movies anymore, so its wide open.

yeah, most thrift stores got a ton of classical records. i usually dig for those for the grimey beats. i made some of the my most grimiest beats off of a jewish love song record. don't sleep on records from other countries. here's a few for example. you'd never think they're from a love rhapsody record..haha!

zSHARE - disko dave - shadow of death.mp3

zSHARE - disko dave - dungeons and dragons.mp3

zSHARE - disko dave - hard to the core.mp3

okay, so maybe they're not so orchestral, but you get the point on diggin' for records other than soul, funk or jazz joints. man, back in the day that orchestra sound was big out here in VA thanks to nottz. nobody can flip 'em better than him. if you haven't heard his earlier work, you're missin' out!
