Default Kan you kick it?

I'd have to say it's Kan kick at the minute he's got a real chilled out vibe, just listening to him makes me want to produce.

Premier. He's never going to water it down. This music business is about way more than money, way more than fame to him.
As far as new guys, I think Blue Sky Black Death are the best. The way they incorporate live instruments along with samples is pretty inspiring. They're really diverse, yet distinctive at the same time.

Yeah I gotta go with RZA. The Wu would be nothin without his production. RZA really set the table and created the whole listening atmosphere that made the Wu what it is.

Dilla for his feel, and Madlib tied for the feel too, but even more so for his creativity.

Older fav...RZA, obvious.

New(er) fav...Flying Lotus..just gets amazing sounds.

Most slept on...MF DOOM. His Mc skills tend to overshadow his production, but I could put any of the specials herbs volumes on the decks and be content for hours.

I don't really try to model my beats off of people though. If anything, I try to do the opposite. No matter what, though, what you like is going to influence your sound. Sometimes it's the other way around, too.
