Heres another DOOM story:

I bought a 12' single from SUPER CHRON FLIGHT BROTHERS. I wasn't familiar with the group. But I read that DOOM had produced the track DIRTWEED.

Its a great track using Burt & Ernie samples. The instrumental is dope. Straight up MF style.

I looked up the group (Super chron flight brothers) and found an interview where they were talking about how they got the track from DOOM.
Apparently these guys were able to contact DOOM about the beat. DOOMs people got back to them and asked for the $$. The exact amount was not given but SCFB mentioned that DOOM wasn't joking about not giving beats for free and that he wanted a pretty penny.
They paid up but DOOM never met with them or worked with them, they recieved and email or something with beat and that was that.

The beat DOOM supplied for the song 'dirtweed' is actually a KMD instrumental from the song 'Humrush'.

So DOOM charged these cats this crazy fee for a beat that he had already fuckin' used. Im assuming they were unaware of the fact.

Crazy, eh?

Here is the meaning of the Doomposter as related to the fictional comic book villain Dr. DOOM:

Doom's most dangerous weapon is his intellect, which has allowed him to make significant progress in virtually all branches of science, making him one of the greatest minds in the Marvel Universe. He has extensive knowledge of all sciences, and is an expert in robotics, genetic engineering, weapons technology, bio-chemistry, and other fields. Doctor Doom constructs numerous devices in order to defeat his foes or gain more power, including a time machine, a device to imbue people with superpowers, and numerous robots. Doom's calculating and strategic nature leads him to use "Doombots," exact mechanical replicas of the real Doctor Doom, for many missions, such as those where he may be defeated. Doom also possesses a limited amount of magic ability, thanks to his knowledge of the mystic arts which he learned from his time with Tibetan monks and from his mother. His magical talents are limited by his lack of humility and refusal to admit that he is not a master of all arts. The alien Ovoids teach Doom the process of psionically transferring his consciousness into another nearby being, which Doom uses on several occasions, including to escape death at the hands of Terrax.[16] Doom also uses his scientific talents to steal and replicate the power of Galactus' heralds such as the Silver Surfer on several occasions.

Many say that the guy was a fake. Even in the video you could hear the people say that he was a fake doom and that they paid for the show and so on.This might have been said already but at undergroundhiphop.com they have it posted aswell and showed pics of the real doom (daniel) and DJ Wesu(DOOM imposter?) with comparison photos on their news area. DOOM fan here also so this can be a reason not to go to a future doom concert knowin that you might be ripped off. only my 2 cents.

yo raff never in my life have driven 4 hours or paid $50 dollars to see a show, no disrespect to those who have but that just aint my steez, however if i did i might be pissed if the show turned out to be a fluke. HOWEVER, this is DOOM we're talking here, i mean dude is a villain, your not supposed to like him. And no matter how pissed you are about the show being wack, what the hell is anyone gonna do about it? DOOM will fuck dudes up for real... not in the classical sense like ben grimm might, but in the sense that hell cast a spell on your whole muthafucking township and usurp that shit. STRAIGHT NAPOLEON STYLE... except doom aint dumb enough to walk in to russia with no coat.

if you're not supposed to like him, then why are his rhymes so fucking awesome? If he truly 'wanted' people not to like him, he'd make wack rhymes and beats. Or he'd just be a garbage man, or a serial killer. the fact that he charges cash money for his shit is ... you know, villainous.

I think a lot of people are gonna never pay money to him ever again, and he's gonna have to quit the game eventually. And become a garbage man.

Dylemma I don't mean to single you out but your opinion is one I've come up against a few times, and I find it a little odd. At the same time I see where you're coming from. If you see an insect and you know it's a scorpion, and you know scorpions can sting you, but you pick it up anyways and it stings you, don't be surprised.

Now I'm no longer talking about you Dylemma. Sometimes I wonder, when I meet with this opinion where people seem to be defending Doom because "Hey, he said he's a villain, he said he wants to destroy rap." I wonder if these people are just blinded by how much they love Doom. Maybe the reason I'm battling so hard against this opinion is because I'm in serious danger of it myself, because I'm kind of a fan boy too. But isn't this kind of like....

Okay imagine this scenario. This guy buys a gun and ammo, loads it up, goes out to the town square, yells "I'm gonna kill everyone!" and then proceeds to start shooting people. The analagous opinion would be "Well, you know he said he was gonna do that, so why are you surprised?" I guess the fallacy is, the fact that you shouldn't be surprised isn't the same as it being okay to do that. You know what I mean? It's not okay for the guy to shoot everyone, even though he announced that he would. He gave 'fair' warning.

Or here's my last example: I can't remember who it is but I think Raekwon? Someone from the Wu anyways, the thing about "I'll sew your asshole shut and just keep feedin you, and feedin you.." etc etc. So if Raekwon came along and actually did that, you'd say "Well, you know he said he was gonna do that"...? How is it much different with Doom? We all assume Raekwon is not actually going to sew anyone's asshole shut, right? Basically he's fronting when he says that, he's exaggerating. Same with the whole "I'm a supervillain" thing from Doom. Except then he actually does it, but not in the form of taking over the world in a comic book-type of way, but instead by pretty much stealing money from his fans.

But it'll sort itself out somehow, and soon I figure. Either it's a publiticy stunt and he'll make up for everything by releasing the best album EVER, or no one will ever go to his shows or buy his albums anymore and his income will dry up. Or he'll finally own up to being really sick, or hooked on crazy drugs or whatever it is he's being secretive about.

but yo, it sure is interesting though

Isn't MF just a drawn out rip-off of a Kool Keith persona?

Yep. Its intriguing for sure.

Gotta say though....I would NOT go see a doom show. Because not only has doom said he would sew your ass hole shut (using your analogy-think it was Method Man), he has sewed many ass holes shut. Its documented and proven that he has actually went threw with the sewing.

So, he has been sewing rectums for roughly 2 years now. Would I pay money to go see him when I know he has a spool of thread/needle in hand?? NO. I would not pay a penny.....if someone else DOES want to pay money and think for some odd reason that the show they want to attend will be different, that doom will not continue his wicked ways and everything will change: The jokes on them.

I love speculating the possibilities, but I really don't think doom will be releasing any new material. I think he's done. Time will tell though.

canada eh?
haha

btw big difference in serial killer, garbage man... serial killer is famous(and in some fucked up cases loved?)

my speculations:
-good analogy for doom could possibly be heath ledger-joker. an individual who is acting out a roll, does everything in his power to become said villian. thus leading to an identity shift that is ultimately self destructive?

-pt barnum "theres no such thing as bad publicity" could applicable

-hes an alcholic and has serious kidney/liver disease

-mixture of the three above statements is most likely

food for thought
be careful with those comics...

respect

"I dont think this is the last well be seing of him"
-The Thing(fantastic four)
