Default $.53 cents

I was driving home from work today and some mysterious energy turned my car into the Salvation Army parking lot. Since I was there I figured I'd go inside to see if they've gotten any good records today.

As usual there was a whole bunch of crap, but there was one that caught my eye. A completely worn cover with of clouds and a rainbow.

The name of the album was David Sancious - Forest Of Feelings (EPIC Records, 1975). Never heard of him. But since it had a pink sticker I knew it was only 50 cents, plus .03 for tax of course.

I got home and listened to it. Mostly high energy stuff with a blend of southern rock style guitars. Just about every track is synth heavy, but the only problem the majority of the album is too fast paced, around 110+ BPM, not the best sampling material.

However, there are a couple of good tracks on side 1:
1. Suite Cassandra -- good piano intro and a BPM around 78. Lots of transitions and good synth work
2. Dixie -- Cool intro and a surprising break beat about 30 seconds into it.

If it's in the dollar bin, cop it. You might find something on it that you like.

Yeah man, I'm a bargain bin addict! I just copped dope Ahmad Jamal album 2 days a go for a pound. Chock full of dope sounds, including a mad choir that is gonna sound sick once I get busy on it! I rarely pay more than a couple of quid for a second hand record unless it's a must have rarity. Most of the fun is in taking a chance on some unusual shit.

I completely agree with you. I'm a cheap digger.
