Deep digs
Ok, so we got the digger's log for your current digs, but I was browsing through my old stuff and I was like "dang, I finally got some serious wax in my crates."
so this thread is to post pictures of PRIZE WAX - old digs, new digs, whatever your want, as long as they DEEP DIGS, DIG IT?
Now a deep dig can be somewhat subjective, but please don't be posting 101 Strings on here or Jethro Tull or something, dig??
ok, so here's a few - will post more soon
PS - FORMAT YOUR PICS TO FIT!!!

Ok, here's a bunch of KPM 1000 series library albums. Some absolute classics in there. Some of these go for some serious wedge, but I think I've paid no more than a pound for each one. I've just lucked out a few times in the field! This have so much fire on them, they should be illegal!

Here's a bunch of other library albums from the usual suspects, De Wolfe, Chappell, Bruton, Impress etc. Some goodies in there too:

A dope couple of Afro-rock albums, That Mandingo album is nuts. I's actually The Geoff Love Orchestra under another guise, but that's no major surprise cos Geoff's brought the heat on many other occasions, The other one is also an afrosploitation album from the early 70's with the top shelf session/library musicians of the day, both albums go for silly dough on the bay!

A couple of nice ones here, that John Williams album is the classical guitarist (not the Star Wars music dude) & it's chock a block full of ill geetar licks, a nice koto piece & some straight up breaks as well. Harry Love used this on Jehst's Alcohilic Author (UK heads stand up!), but there's plenty of other bits to nab. The Azteca album is some nice funky latin flavoured rock joint with Coke Escavado on percussion, so you know there's some nice bits there.

Ok, that'll do for now, I'll post some more up in a bit.

Ok, here's my next installment, this might take some time. Anyway, that Bobby Hutchinson album is real nice, full of dope vibraphone licks, deep upright basslines, a nice mid 70's lush fest. The second one is by a Hungarian singer called Sarolta Zalatnay. Now believe me when I tell you this album is sick. I can't tell you how many open drum breaks & funky sample worthy bits in it. Here's a little snippet of one bit (one of the frustrating drums breaks with a vocal in it, I posted it the other day on another forum about annoying records that should have a clean break in them but don't!) zSHARE - Sarolty - egy Szot3.mp3 Anyway, Sarolta Zalatnay is a big star in Hungary & Turkey & a wealth of ill shit for you sample cats to dig for.

Ok, getting into more familiar territory here, the Cecil Holmes Soulful Sounds album I picked up at a charity shop years back for a few pennies & have since seen it online for a good £30.00. It's pretty standard big orchestration covers of a lot of familiar tracks from blaxploitation movies, but definite quality if that's your bag. That Bohannon album is according to DJ Cool Breez's youtube videos, his rarest album, but I've seen it plenty of times. It's still a dope album & it's got the break from Ed OG's 'I've Got To Have It' on it.

Ok, next up is a nice Chick Corea album. Kind of nice vibesy jazz, nothing majorly out of the ordinary, but plenty to pick out of it. I've used it for a few tracks & got some lovely fender rhodes bits off it. The other is a nice, pretty weird (in a good way) Alice Coltrane album. Picked this up at a car boot sale last year off a German lady, who had quite a decent stack of soul & jazz albums that I took off her for a few measly quid. I also bagged a dope Louis Gasca album off her that I'll probably post in a later installment.

Ok, that's it for now, I'll shoot some more later this evening & share them with you, maybe I'll include some audio clips as well if I can be bothered with all that hassle!

I LOVE kpm stuff - that's my favourite library shit. Sooo dope. That and Bruton but i love all Library music - even the stuff i can't sample.
I don't think i have any rare stuff, save for a few OG pressing Beatles.
I'll have to have a look - i'll probably dig out all my stuff that i think is rare and you lot can tell me if i'm right or wrong cos i'm not too sure what's rare
