Thats a touchy matter.......I used to think ....go to the shops or what ever and look with real hands on......but you know...I kept hearing "there is no rules to this stuff"

so with that in mind .....how you get it ....is how you get it....cats sample cartoons , sitcoms , movies, what ever....If I remember the name of an artist and his/her song and download it......well....did I just do what I stated earlier...but I did it at my house...its the world wide web dawgs.......better use it ......

sorry for the soap box.......I love Premo...(big fan)...but its a new day...new minds...new works.....new beats....

i used to be one of those hardcore digging cats, but it doesn't really matter anymore. it's all about the music, not the medium. plus, most records are overpriced anyhow. most of the time, unless you are really into the collecting aspect, you are better off copping a cd or mp3.

Depends where you're hearts at. I love collecting records but i do sample alot of mp3's. I guess its because i've only been in the game for a year and don't have alot of cash. But if you're producing fire i guess that's all that matters.

It truly is up to you. I was that dude that wouldn't buy strictly breaks because it seemed like sacrilege. At the same time, I haven't been to Brazil, Japan or Eastern Europe. Those spots are done. For me not to find something over the net that I would NEVER be able to acquire on my own and use so that maybe one day I could possibly hunt it down would be dumb on my part.

i used to be hardcore vinyl head. then i had to move twice in a 14 month period due to my apartment being sold out from under me. moving 16 or 18 crates of records blows.

i still dig by all means, not like i used to. if i can get a nice high quality mp3 of something...fuck it, its going to sound better anyways.

i think the bottom line is though, we are all here for a reason and that is the "crates". i think even the most hardcore internet digger would break if he saw a melvin bliss 7" sitting in a thrift shop.

I'm one of them "Internet Diggers", and I say it with pride. Why? Because not only I'm a young dude, which means I don't have money to spend on this, but mainly because I live in a 3rd World country in Europe, where you don't have many places to live... so yes Internet is truly a blessing for me, for letting me find all the dopest breaks for FREE!!!

seriously?

if someone emailed you a cd quality version Honeydrippers Impeach the Pres, you would sample an old crusty, poppy, vinyl version?

even if i have a record, sometimes i'll download it just for the sound quality.
