pretty much everything that come out of the 70's is golden.

i know alot of people like the 60's shit too but truthfully ive probably only flipped like 5 beats out of shit before 1970. probably aint diggin hard enough tho

but my preferred genre is soul. then funk, then classic rock. but whatevers dope is dope

I can't keep away from jazz personally, but only really that golden period from the mid 60-s to the mid 70's. There's a lot of good stuff from before and later, but that period offers so many more chances of finding those nuggets! However, I do like to investigate a lot of cheesy lounge music, and my favourite source (though not strictly a genre) is library music from that same era. There's so much amazing stuff throughout this area of music, it's just ridiculous, but it's not cheap (unless you get lucky at carboot sales/goodwills) which I often have.

I like the 70s stuff personally,old soul records is my records of choice.I dont like that disco stuff at the end of the 70s though,not my style plus I dont know of any dope songs thats been flipped from a disco song.

most of the shit is hard to put into a genre. That typa shit you hear on dusty fingers. Everyone who digs knows whatsup with that sound, and it all gives them the same goosebumps

I definitely love 80's stuff heavy piano's,great organs,bomb vocal samples,and there were thounsands of no namers in the 80's so the likeliness of someone else sampling them is less.
