A lot of good Sax players bro! I know Sonny Rollins actually started his career playing with Miles Davis. I have one of his albums...A Blue Note release.
Yea. I have been over to Music Time. They got a nice selection of music...I dug the shit out of that place on like a 3 hour binge. I had a fat stack, bought a couple....shit is over priced though.
I had a talk with the owner about why he didnt supply a record player. He said that records loose quality every time you play them and he wasnt willing to give up any bit of quality he could maintain on used records....he also added that hearing the record prior to purchasing it was kind of cheating. I think I can understand his 2nd point (hearing prior to buying), but I would better understand it if his records were not so damn expensive.
I am a pretty hardcore Goodwill/Garage Sale dude though....So I am constantly bitching about over priced records. I think this stems from the fact that Goodwill records cost 99c-$1.99 and you can find even better deals at Garage sales.
So....after looking over what I have written its probably safe to assume that Music Time is not over priced. They are a RECORD STORE so the selection will be better, the quality is somewhat better, but the price will be higher.
Im just a cheap fuck....well actually when I go record shopping I like to buy like 20 records. So...I would rather put in the work going to Goodwills & Garage Sales to spend maybe <$40 rather than going to record shops where I know I will find some good records but Ill leave with $100 down the drain.
Record shops scare me.
