OK, I've been sort of picking this up and putting this down for the last few weeks, but I thought I'd post it up to be evaluated. It's using the theme from the Disney movie "The Black Hole", a pretty dark sci fi flick that came out jumping on the Star Wars bandwagon with a dope JohnBarry soundtrack. Anyway, it's not finished yet, I'm gonna add some cuts and dialogue snippits from the movie, and try and sort out the mix a bit.

When's the deadline for this now, otherwise I'll keep putting it off and doing something else!

I made a beat with a sample from Akira, an old school anime. If ur into anime u know what it is.

I used it for a remix of Prodigy's Keep It Thoro. I haven't mixed down the instrumental though. If this is still going let me know and I'll mixdown the instrumental by itself. Or if u allow remixes go ahead and use this:

grimeshine - i like the way u flipped the cheers sample. If u took out the intro u would never know where it came from.
panamacanal - i like the friday the 13th game sample. that was on c64 right? i vaguely remember that game. the one where u had to kill jason before he killed everyone else?
soulsyde - that house of horrors sample is hectic. but u need to make that snare crack a bit harder imo. still a nice beat though.

yeah this is still on. Hells yeah. I'm going to a 5-day party starting tomorrow, but after I recover from that I was thinking of taking a look to see what we've got. I haven't listened to yours S.2ITA, but I think you should mix down the instrumental. Unless there's any objections from others about what I'm going to say here, I think we're going for a more abstract kind of vibe which would be destroyed if there were a whole acapella over something. Correct me if I'm wrong.

ok cool rafferty i'l mix down the instrumental. i might shorten it a touch, cos it might get a bit repetitive without the acapella.
im also workin on a friday the 13th sample flip, so i'l up that too when its done
