It's not bad. I'm not a fan of the sample, but that's just my opinion.

I would recommend going back and trying to do something a little more with the arrangement of the sample. The 2 bar loop in the verse gets a little repetitive.

not sure if it was your intent to, but the drums dont sound hip hop at all. It sounds like somethin out of the 80's. Put a little human feel on them. instead of just boom bap boom bap. try something more like baboom bap baboom boom bap.

Just somethin to make them sound a bit more rugged.

i agree with grimeshine, i love some of the shit your doing, your well on your way to becoming one of my hereos but the drums need some work. you think in terms of the sample being first, and you know how to rock the sample (by the way mind telling a bit of your secrets), but the drums need to be prominant in a way they aren't now.

I like it. A lot. My advice would be to maybe replay the bassline so you can drop the sample out on the verse parts. Like someone else said, it gets repetitive. You know? Also, like some other folks mentioned, the drums were kind of lacking. I don't know if it was the pattern that was the problem. If I were you, I'd probably just try some different sounds and play with the volume. Overall, I like it a lot. Reminds me of A Lighter Shade of Brown or some shit. Better times. You know?

Peace
