Default My first 2 beats...ever!

hey wassup,

Witness my first beats! They're unfinished. I'll need to rearrange them in a coherent pattern so I can drop some fierce vocals on them!

For one of the beats, you'll notice I used the same sample Black Moon used for "Reality" although my aim was absolutely not to copy their shit. I just like the sample and tried to come up with my own version. I think I'd like to add some sax to it too. Actually, when it's complete, I think I'm also going to raise the pitch of the song maybe 1/2 note.

...so check' em out if you want to. I look forward to reading your (honest) feedback.

Beat 1: zSHARE - quincy.mp3
Beat 2: zSHARE - qui.mp3

hope you enjoy.
cheers.

Nice beats i liked "beat 2" the most......Now that you mastered looping.Try chopping your samples, Its alot harder, But it will sound way better the way you put it back together.

By the way....can you PM me the sample info of beat 2????

yo thanks for the feedback dude, really cool.

yeah these are litteraly my two first beats ever. from the 2 comments this far, it seems like the second one is the favorite, though I really dig the first one too. It has a dark vibe to it and the low bass filters I applied really came out well considering it's my first try, it has a 90's feel I really like.

for the first beat, I didn't know someone had used that sample before. I really chopped up that intro though and I think the outcome's pretty neat.
