First Remix, Hate it or Love it

A booker a while back came across my myspace page and wanted me for shows in Denver but it was one of those deals were you have to bring 20 people along and fuck it i don't know 20 people willing to drive to denver on a week night. I'm trying now to get enough good material together for house parties around Boulder to get my rep up. Random drunk people i'm guessing aren't going to sit down and listen to my instrumentals so i'm trying remixes. Here's my first remix of The Game. While i normally can't stand things G-unit, I love this song.

I'm not feeling it and if i can't feel it how can people? I'm getting techically getting better. Should i just scrap this as a failed experiment and move on, or should i work with it a bit more to get it right? Off the top of my head things i could do better the intro could use another sample, something atmospheric before the synths kick in and the base need some love like always with my beats.

Eh Lo Rez first of all keep bangin no matter what any haters say.. That said you need to work on the sample play in this get something more in there like you said. As far as moving on from this thats what i usually do I just go make another and another till im happy or until I find a project/sample so ill its worthy of mucho attention.

Yo man, don't worry about me keep bangin and shit, i make beats because i need to, not because i want to. My head will explode if i don't get those out, it doesn't matter what anybody says. I mean you can be brutal honest and shit. Like i'm going to do what ever the fuck i want no matter what you say, but if you point out truths i'll discover eventually telling me now, even if i don't listen, makes that journey all the shorter.

I get what your saying about the sample and trust me, if i could do more with it i would have. I don't dig synths that much aside from the sample i played out so i don't have other samples that compliment it.

So given that i'm asuming your advice is to abondon this shit.

What did you think of how the beat matched the acapella?

The baseline, what the fuck can i do with it to make it work?

Do you think i'm on the right track for drunk people, like pushing all the right buttons to get the high and drunks to rub against each other and fuck?
