The first one is real soothing, i just think it needs to be a little more hooky, i was waiting for something more to happen. To capture a tone like that, that hip-hop doesn't do well is a good template to start from, i think it just needs a bit more lovin to get a sound all your own.

I prefer the second one by a long way, apart from the chipmunk chorus. It's got that contemporary sampled vibe, and I like the change ups in it. All I would say, is often when samples like that are sped up, a lot of vibe is lost IMO. I'd also say the the drum programming sounds a bit drum machine-ish, and needs a bit more groove and swing going on. Nice to hear some cuts going on though and I like your MC.

The first track didn't do it so much for me though, just didn't have that bump it needed. Also the hook sounded a bit uninspired to me, and kind of nauseating.

I hope this criticism is taken as constructive,
peace.

hey man sounds good.

the dude rappin definately adds a lot to your tracks, and you need to take advantage of that. start workin your drums around his lyrics...the first track was vibin' too, maybe just needed some more bass. second track was def. chip-munk, and maybe a little too sped up. good work though.

i liek the feel of the first one, it's really shuffly. the groove is the best thing it has going for it, besides that it's pretty simple i guess. like the mellow sound of it but like someone else said it needs a couple more sounds.

the second one is more lively, the sample really jumps from place to place. like those horns on the bridge a lot. the chipmunk vocal isn't really that bad, decent i guess. this beat is definitely superior to the second one, just because it's more exciting.
