Been a fan of 9th since day one and (fruity loops too lol) I think that some people got problems with him cuz of his drums not his sampling.

9th is a cool dude down, to earth brotha i meet him 2yrs ago in DC and i will tell you this if i'm getting paid to do this shit and the a&r or record company like my shit thats all that matters so fuck it. if that man uses fruity loops(i do to)or he uses the same linn drums on every track don't hate; appreciate because people like him make all of us step our game up.

I do think it's stupid for people to hate on him becuase of how he acheives his sound, but I do think he's not anywhere near the GOAT some people see him as. Don't get me wrong either, I am a fan of his. I enjoy his shit but am able to recognize and admit that his music is sonically sub-par. He's good at chopping records and some of his drum sounds are pretty fat, but his music is not nearly as pristine and crisp as many other mainstream producers.

Consider that he submitted thirty-some tracks to Jay for the Black Album and Jay picked ONE. And even the one he picked (threats) is rumored to have been remixed and fixed up quite a bit to come close to match the sound quality of the rest of the album. That said, Threats is one of my favorite beats on the album. It's hard and raw, but it don't showcase the same talent as the Just Blaze beats for example
