well this isn't a beat video, but since it says "anything related to djing & turntablism" i thought i'd post some footage from an old dj battle here in VA @ Old Dominion University. i did parts of this routine in a DMC regional battle in D.C. and landed 2nd place. i laugh at this now, but it was cool at the time. all my dj's post your routines, mixes, scratch sessions in here! let's hear it for the 1st element!

yo dave, what suggestions do you have, if any to doing a staggered (slowed down) beat juggle?

for example, on both turntables, the line is "He dont slice so nice"

I want to play "he dont" on one, stop it, play "nice" on the right turntable, then "so nice" on the other.

then how do i cue them both up again? Its drivin me bonkers fam!

thanks y'all. feelin the cuts dyllema. nice flares. grimeshine i think the easiest way would be to play "he don't" then stop the record (right turntable), then crossfade to the left and play "nice" on the left while you cue up your right to "so" then crossfade back to "nice" on the left. and now your back to the revolution with "he don't" on the right side. it should be like a strobing motion. just watch your cue points on your marked records. hope that helps.
