Here's the original. Nice one gentlemen. One of our contestants named his beat in such a way that the anonymity is totally lost, but I reckon some of you cats aren't clever enough to figure it out anyways, so I'll leave it anonymous. It is, of course, open to our contestants to spill the beans if they so choose.

Cool I actually flipped this sample already so as I was listening to the first one I heard a couple of the parts I took from the song and they were even in a relatively similar key too. I'm not sure if it's just because I'm to familiar with the melodies of the parts where you got all the different sounds from but to me the first 1 seems a little too disjointed but the beat and the chops are pretty well done.

The second one I got kind of bored with how long you were chopping that first part without drums but then when it got to the actual beat I really like the effects you used on the different parts and how you used them together. Maybe if you did some thing a little different with the hi hats to more fit the vibe of the song but overall I really like it.

So number 2 gets my vote.

going with #1 on this one, no question.
2 sounded good, but 1 was more well chopped and it had a raw sound to it that i liked.

The second one, definitely, sounds much more lush. The first I felt was a little generic sounding, yeah, number 2 all the way!

Beat 1:
Smooth intro. Diggin the stutters on the sample....those quick hits. Drum work is gritty. Like that little hand clap that pops up every once in a while. Vocal samples came in nice. Sounds like something someone could spit over real nice.
Beat 2:
Wow. Real smooth. Snagged some nice samples for sure. yep...hearing that vocal cut now. Its layered real nice over the music.

Gonna have to vote for #1. Had a little bit more going on it seemed.

Close all though. Good battle homies.
