Both beats were dope. It all boils down to preference in this one. I going with 2.

that's what she said.
But seriously, man the Electric Prunes huh? The only contribution they had to the sample track 'General Confessional' was their voices! They didn't play any of the instruments nor did they compose the music, or arrange it, or even come up with the concept. Nothing. David Axelrod did all that (except play the instruments of course). I guess their record label owned the name "the Electric Prunes" because the album that came out after this one was by "the New Improved Electric Prunes" and the band was a totally different group of musicians! Had nothing to do with the original band except a certain `sound` I guess.
word.

Def a great battle. I would have voted for Raff's beat....and I think (from what he mentioned) he would have voted for mine.
Lets get some more votes though!

yup I like Floyd's better although I won't say why, as that would probably ruin the anonymity factor

this is truly hard.
number 1 was cool as hell, but number 2 was extremely deep...
hmm...but 2 is a bit jumpy for me, lil offbeat at times, very experimental and impressive in its own way but i'm gonna have to go with 1, actually maybe just for that cute percussion sound that comes in half way through. cmon shake your body baby do that conga.

#2 got my vote.
had that soul and a real good bump to it. couldn't help but shake my dome. i like how the organs got layered in throughout the beat too.
also, the organ did get a little repetitive in beat 1. both were expertly mastered though! props!
