Mr. Floyd Vs. Rafferty???
Raff...you down?
You'll probably stomp me out...but we had a battle planned ages ago.
Wanna do this?
I'm down. Let me know any limitations, specific rules, and shit.
Should be fun.
We def need a DOPE sample though. I havent made a beat in AGES. So someone needs to drop a dope sample.
If youre busy doing other shit we can hold it off for a later date (I got no issues with that).
Youre my main squeeze on CK. So...its for sure all in fun.

throw me the rope.
yeah man, I'm game. Let's see... yeah sure, let's whip something off. But hey, let's sample something we both have on vinyl, whatchoo think? We'd have to figure out what we both have. I know we both have that Peanutbutter Conspiracy rekkid, which I actually haven't listened to very much. I went on vacation right after I got it.
I doubt I have as much vinyl as you though, so... how do we figure out what records we both have? Should we start with a label or something? I bought three records today: Ronnie Laws Pressure Sensitive, Bob James Three, and the Meters Look-Ka Py Py. You got any of those?

Lets see if we can get a good sample we both feel is up to par.
We'll see what people drop...if all else fails we could use the peanut butter album. If we end up doing PBC would we both use the same song? Or is anything game...meaning we could use parts of different songs?
Sounds like a lot of work though.
Lets see what samples we can get.
Nice one Illsylus. Maybe someone else can drop one too. Give us some different choices...
Would someone be kind enough to drop another sample??

What do ya think Raff?
If you have a decent sample in your collection that you havent used yet....feel free to drop it.
Let me know.

I haven't listened to either of those yet, I plan to as soon as I put the boy to bed... but hey Floyd, what about jazz? I wouldn't mind flipping some smooth jazz joint. I'll be back in a bit though, and listen to those ear candies, and thanks dudes.
But yeah, for some reason I really wanna flip something that I actually have on vinyl. Floyd, you got any Brian Auger? Bob James?
on a totally unrelated note, my son (the aforementioned boy), who's 4 and 3/4, had the first haircut of his life yesterday. His hair was down to his ass, and anyone over like 55 years old invariably thought he was a girl, even though he always has like six cars and trucks on him at all times. But now he looks like a little boy, holy crap that shit takes some getting used to. That's him in my avatar, of course.
