Just the three people, damn bro, I reckon it's more than that! I can right off the top of my head remember at least three that used that back in 1989 including the Cookie Crew, The Dissmasters, The Urban Allstars, and judging by how often that tune was played in the clubs back then I'm sure there were dozens more who sampled it.
The thing that surprised me with the Jay-Z track was how lazy Just Blaze was with it, I mean, that's a track that everyone with even the mildest interest in old funk knows like the back of their hand and he just, well looped it! Not that I have anything against loops, but you'd think on a tune that well known he'd have done a little more!
