that's sweet grime. I always wondered about that type of thing. My favorite record spot here in town, the dude who is otherwise super chill and nice, he hates hip hop, he says he can't relate to it. He also says that he thinks that's how it should be, the older generation shouldn't be able to relate to the younger generation's music. I was like "I see what you mean, but also, music should be universal to a certain extent." Anyways, I'm not sure how he'd react if I asked him if I could just sample his shit without paying for it or whatever.

I also considered asking him if I could sort of 'rent' some records from him, take them home for a few days and sample them, then return them. Thing is, I like having them... I'd rather just save up the scrilla so I could own them.

At any rate, be sure to show us one or two of the beats you come up with down there man

PS what was the $200 record?
