I have Redrum running each drum sound to its own channel on a 14-ch mixer board I just call "Drums." This way I have a line out for each drum sound already made allowing me to filter each sound individually. Every time I open Reason I have this setup as a template. It cuts down on setup time for each new song.

If I want to run parallel compression on the drum sound on #10 in ReDrum I run a cable out from that channel to a splitter. One out of the splitter can go directly to the mixing board. The other can go to a compression filter and then to another channel on the mixing board. You may want to throw in a bit of "Small Room' Reverb on the RV-7 just to fill out the sound.
