Default Re: Time stretching!

I forgot to tell you how I use to timestretch on the MPC. I would sample and chop it up....I would set the pitch the way I wanted to hear the sample, then I would set my sequencer longer than I wanted to record. So if I record 4 bars, I would set it to 6 or 8 just so the MPC would not loop around. I would set the tempo according to how I would hear the sample in my head, then record your playing. Obviously it wont loop around, so then I would record what I played into Pro Tools or whatever you use for recording audio. Then loop in perfectly there, then import that back into the MPC and step record it in. Adjust the tempo until it loops around. Then add drums bass etc..... Its like the long way, but it work for me and saved me a lot of time because i could never figure out a good fast way to do it. Hope it helps.
