Default I Dig For A Living.

My weapon of choice for firing out beats is the Boss SP-505. And though I love the ammunition I have little experience in actually firing out these beats.

I turned on the 505 today and went through my sound banks to find nothing but loops from records that I can't even recall listening to.

It must be due to the fact that my love for buying records out weighs my drive to produce the sample based hip hop beats that I love.

Its almost like I dig for records to find a loop and once the loop/sample has been found I record it on my 505 or somewhere in my computer and just move on.

I have the ability to find the fire....but I am not burning anything.

I started thinking if maybe these are 2 different skill sets and/or desires. Finding/diggin' for beats and the love or drive to flip them.

I wish a producer would hire me to dig and find records. Then find the dope samples within those records.

Wonder if there is such a thing?
