  1. This looks too ill to miss. . .any word on when the actual documentary drops? and how it can be purchased/downloaded/sampled?

  2. lol had the whole trailer on my personal (myspace) profile for about a year…didn’t think at all to show peeps lol should have.

Every interview was very informal in different ways. Gave me a sense of self calmness about the whole debate about sampling. thank god we’re not alone.

  3. Yeah, ive seen this clip on Youtube like a year ago but for those who didnt its pretty interesting whats being said about sampling.

  4. don’t any of you think that guy should have got paid something ? cats were making thousands upon millions for his drum beats and he didn’t get nothing . i would be mad as shit. and sue your ass too.

  5. I trully believe that Clyde should be paid something, but you got to look at it from another point of view.

He was paid as a session drummer. so in a way JB should have paid him points for the break of funky drummer, but when you’re a session player your thoughts become the song for said owner(JB).

So in a way he was a “play for hire” musican. Which is kinda sad in todays time. but i’m sure that at the time Clyde was trying to feed himself and his family, and didn’t look for tomorrow, as in to where his drum break would be years for then.

But El P has a point as well, if you catch me then i’m not doing my job. but you know nobody is looking for you untill you break that 100,000 mark(ghetto gold). So keep dig’n!

  6. When you look this up on your TV be sure to search for Indepedent Lens, Copyright Criminals is an episode of that show, there is alo another hip-hop episode coming on next after Copyright Criminals…
