Sound Forge is a good stand alone audio editor. I use it to chop and do all my sample/audio editing.

Dont get me wrong, 88 keys is shit hot, but (and this goes to most major rappers/producers) whats the point in wasting all that money on renting such a high end studio? The only real money that should be spent after beat/producer fee’s should be on Mastering (and possibly mixing) Apart from that beats are made on DAW or hardware samplers after that all you need is a good mic and pre.

@TonyTraxx I use FL’s Edison for chopping and Ableton for arrangements. Best combo for sampling for me thus far.
