It’s true. The store was an amazing collection rumored to be over a million pieces before the big sales happened, prior to moving. Even with a few chunks sold off, there’s still hundreds of thousands of LPs there. I’ve seen it just today. In fact I personally took the picture on this ad for the store’s myspace page when I worked for Ron a few years back. This “liquidation” is a sad conclusion for such an incredible place. The sale’s been extended Wed 7/30 thru Sat 8/2. Thank you Ron, Blessings to your Family. Rest In Peace Brother.

im telling you, if your not from kc, you have no idea how big this collection is. cashin my check today to go dig. was rumored to be well over half a mil records before the store on broadway closed

Yeah, unfortunately the sale had to happen under these conditions. Looks like there is an insane collection contained there.

crazy. i live in kc, and i did not know about this. my man ron rooks passed away about a year ago, i was wondering what they were gonna do with his collection. that store was truely incredible, i bought so many records from there over the years, it will be sad to see it gone for good…
